Health Actions for Uganda is a nonprofit organization based in Groton, Massachusetts. Our mission is to do everything in our power to make sure that Ugandans are living healthy lives; their well being is top priority. We like to educate our community on the health services that are available to them. When people must endure inflexible work schedules, language barriers, and stigmatization, finding health services does not become a high priority. We are here to change that! We have been working with people for the past few years and are trying to get the entire community involved.
We hope you will join us!

Teach the community about health services available to them.

Helping people take control of their health.

Give recommendation to community about the right health services for them.

Help the community participate so healthcare becomes a priority.

Information that we share

Our team shares health information provided to us to families and friends back in Uganda regarding chronic disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, cancer, domestic violence, obesity, etc.

Mask Drive

We wish to extend our sincere condolences to all those who have lost loved ones to Covid-19.

The shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) has been highlighted as one of the biggest challenges that workers are facing. Therefore, the need for an alternative is highly necessary. There comes a time when we hear a certain call and today, that call is louder for us to fight for each other.
We are teaming up to make and distribute cloth masks in areas around New England in a bid to encourage personal protective dressing to minimize the spread of Covid-19
Our goal is to make 10,000 masks. So far, we have a few rolls of donated fabric, but we need much more to get the job done.
We are looking for volunteers who can make them
The plan is to distribute them in common places that are accessible to community members and work closely with Ugandan Diaspora groups that are donating essential items to households in need.
